Teenager killed in shooting at Atlanta apartments identified
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police are searching for suspects involved in a deadly shooting that took the life of a teenager at a Southwest Atlanta apartment complex.
The shooting happened at the Crystal Apartments along Mount Zion Road shortly before 5 Saturday morning.
The Fulton County medical examiner has told FOX 5 that the victim was identified as 15-years-old Jamari Holmes.
Holmes' body was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the passenger seat of a car in the apartment complex's parking lot.
Officers say Holmes was a known gang member and was wearing an ankle monitor at the time of the shooting.
They recovered more than a dozen shell casings for the scene.
Officers also found a stolen blue Dodge Charger crashed down the driveway.
Investigators say they're looking for the driver of the car, a possible backseat passenger, and whoever else was inside the vehicle.
