Temple police officer killed in motorcycle accident

TEMPLE, Ga. - Hearts are heavy as members of the Temple community and law enforcement mourn the death of a police officer, killer in a motorcycle wreck Wednesday evening. 

Temple Police Officer David Head is being remembered as an "outstanding officer who cared for his community and loved what he did." 

"He touched many people and will never be forgotten," Temple police said on Facebook. "Our thoughts and prayers are with each other and his family."

According to Temple police, Officer Head was off-duty when the accident happened.
