The sound of Christmas music filled the air in western New York Saturday night, and it could be a record breaker. Thousands of carolers sang loud and clear on Main Street in East Aurora.

It was the 45th Carolcade. The tradition started back in the 70s with a small group of Brownies and Girl Scouts. Now, in rain, snow or blustery weather, singers young and old show up to sing the sounds of the holidays.

Last year, the Carolcade had 2300 people singing. The Guinness Book of World Records is still trying to determine if that is a record number of carolers.
