Threat forces Cartersville City Schools to go on lockdown
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Authorities are investigating a threat that forced Cartersville City Schools to go on lockdown.
School officials said Cartersville Elementary School received the threat Thursday morning.
But authorities placed all four schools on lockdown as a precaution.
Extra law enforcement officers were also placed on each school campus.
It's not clear what kind of threat was made at this time.
