Timothée Chalamet surprises fans at NYC lookalike contest
On Sunday afternoon, New York City’s Washington Square Park transformed into a sea of curly-haired, defined-jawline lookalikes for a Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest Variety reported.
But what began as a fun gathering took a star-studded turn when Chalamet himself made a surprise appearance, hiding in the crowd before revealing his identity to fans.
The event, promoted through city flyers and a public Partiful invitation, promised a $50 cash prize for the most convincing Chalamet lookalike. By Sunday morning, over 2,500 people had RSVP'd to attend.
The contest drew various young men with similarities to the actor, including TikTok star Cramer Ekholm, who has over 253,000 followers due to his resemblance to Chalamet.
Around 30 minutes into the event, Chalamet arrived incognito, sporting a mask and baseball cap. He made his way to the center of the crowd before removing his mask, sparking loud cheers from surprised fans.
