Tin Roof Cantina in North Druid Hills announces upcoming closure after 18 years

Tin Roof Cantina, a neighborhood staple in North Druid Hills for nearly two decades, has announced that its time at its current location is coming to an end. After five years of uncertainty, the property has been sold to a developer, according to a post on its Facebook page. While an exact closing date has not yet been determined, the bar's owners say the end is "imminent."

What they're saying:

In a heartfelt message, Tin Roof Cantina expressed gratitude for the support and memories created over the years. "It is YOU who created the magic within the walls of this building," the statement read, addressing the customers, staff, bands, and friends who have become part of the Tin Roof family.

The bar, known for its live music, trivia nights, and vibrant atmosphere, has been a fixture in the community for 18 years.

New Operating Hours and Events

What we know:

As the Cantina begins to wind down its operations, changes are being implemented. Starting Feb. 3, Tin Roof Cantina will shift to new winter hours, opening on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and select Wednesdays and Sundays. The bar will continue to host popular events, including:

  • Thursday Trivia Nights
  • Live Music on Fridays and Saturdays
  • Saturday Poker Nights
  • Performances by the Mike Veal Band on select Wednesdays and weekends

Patrons are encouraged to follow the Cantina on Facebook and Instagram for updates on events and special plans to bring back familiar faces as the bar approaches its final days.

An Opportunity to Say Goodbye

What you can do:

Tin Roof Cantina’s team hopes the community will take this opportunity to celebrate and reminisce. "We would really love to see all of you over these next few months to celebrate and say goodbye to the neighborhood bar that has been a staple for nearly 20 years."
