Downtown Connector reopens after nearly 3-hour shutdown
ATLANTA - The Downtown Connector came to a standstill due to an emergency situation on Monday evening.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to the I-75/85 Northbound Expressway NW near Spring Street NW just after 7 p.m. on Monday due to a man on a ledge over the interstates.
The busy highway was shut down near the Grady Curve as a result. It would remain closed for nearly three hours, opening shortly before 10 p.m.
Police say they were able to get the man down safely.
MARTA police are handling the case.
