Traffic being rerouted after water main causes sinkhole in Sandy Springs
SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - Atlanta Watershed crews are still working Tuesday afternoon to fix a water main break that caused a sinkhole in Sandy Springs Monday.
The break happened on Northside Drive, between Crest Valley and Davis Drives, forcing officials to shut down the busy road. As of Tuesday morning, the road remained shut down.
Crews told FOX 5 News they did have to turn the water off, resulting in some homes not having water.
Northside Drive south of Crest Valley remained closed to motorists during Tuesday's evening commute. Traffic was being rerouted at Harris Trail and Crest Valley.
