ATLANTA - Wednesday will mark one month since 17 people were shot and killed at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Students across the country will mark the day with a walk-out.
It is meant to honor the victims and push for gun control reform.
More than 185,000 students across the nation are expected to participate in Wednesday’s walkout.
Monday, the Atlanta Coalition in support of the national walk-out formally announced their support of the demonstration and encouraged all school districts to allow students to participate.
Coalition members will hold a training session Monday night at the Oakhurst Presbyterian Church in Decatur.
The training sessions were open to all community members and detailed a person's legal right to peacefully protest.
