COBB COUNTY, Ga. - A Cobb County patrol cruiser hit another car and a child was ejected through that car's window, according to troopers.
The Georgia State Patrol said they are investigating the incident which happened around 4:40 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Riverside Parkway and Rockhouse Road.
According to troopers, the driver of a Nissan Pathfinder was attempting to negotiate a left turn around a stopped Cobb County Transit Bus, but couldn’t see around the vehicle. The Nissan was struck by the police cruiser on the driver’s side, breaking the back window and sending the SUV into a spin.
Troopers said a 2-year-old child riding in the back seat of the Nissan was ejected through the window. The seat was not secured properly and the toddler apparently was not wearing the chair’s restraints, according to troopers.
The child suffered non-life threatening injuries.
No word on possible charges.
The names of those involved in the crash have not yet been released.
