Two charged for arson of abandoned Forsyth County school
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. - Forsyth County firefighters said two people have admitted to setting an abandoned school on fire.
Investigators said Briana Shanyfelt and Nicolas Blaine told them they lit a fire inside the Old Sharon Schoolhouse on Old Atlanta Road to stay warm on Feb. 2. They claimed the fire got out of control and the two ran.
The fire lasted into the night and destroyed the building.
Investigators arrested the pair about a month later and both face felony charges of arson.
