Two TCU football players arrested for beating up, robbing students

Two TCU football players have been arrested for allegedly robbing and attacking their fellow TCU students.

Michael Rea Tuaua, 22, and Andre Petties-Wilson, 19, were arrested by Fort Worth police on Monday for an incident that happened on Sept. 4.

According to police, the attack happened outside of a house party on Lowden Street. The two football players also stole a case of Keystone Light beer from the male students.

TCU officials said the players are under investigation by the university and could face penalties for violating the university’s Code of Student Conduct.

But head football coach Gary Patterson plans to support Tuaua, who he said is one of the most liked players on the team.

“You’ve never heard me speak up for a kid when he’s screwed up, but you have now,” Patterson said during a press conference Tuesday. “Right or wrong, just like a parent, I got his back.”

Both Tuaua and Petties-Wilson face a charge of Robbery-Bodily injury.
