The University of Georgia Athletic Association has reached a $1.5 million settlement in a lawsuit stemming from a 2023 car crash that claimed the lives of two members of the football program and severely injured a third passenger.

According to documents obtained by Online Athens, the settlement was paid to the plaintiff, Victoria "Tori" Bowles, who was a backseat passenger in an SUV driven by UGA recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy.

The crash occurred while LeCroy was street racing with UGA football player Devin Willock. Both LeCroy and Willock died in the wreck, while Bowles suffered serious injuries.

The tragic incident raised concerns about safety protocols and accountability within the athletic program, as LeCroy was reportedly driving at excessive speeds at the time of the crash.
