ATHENS, Ga. - The University of Georgia has announced new disciplinary measures for a student organization involved in a protest that turned violent earlier this year, according to The Red & Black.
Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) was initially suspended in April after an encampment demonstration on campus led to more than a dozen arrests. Following a review, the group’s suspension has been extended through the spring of 2026. Additionally, the organization will remain on probation until the spring of 2029.
