UGA journalism students release Apalachee HS shooting documentary
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - A new documentary is shedding light on the tragic story of the Apalachee High School shooting. Created by University of Georgia journalism students, the production is now on the verge of gaining national attention.
The documentary, titled "We Will Rise: The Story of the Apalachee High School Shooting," was produced as part of the students' capstone class.
It features interviews with officials and survivors of the Sept. 4 shooting, including one teenager who recounted her harrowing experience of not knowing if she would make it out alive.

A national student advocacy nonprofit, The One in Five Foundation for Kids, plans to recognize the UGA students for their work on the project. The organization also intends to help fund and launch a campaign to bring the documentary to schools and communities across the nation.
