Unidentified man wanted for fatal Dec. 1 shooting on Shirley Street SW

ATLANTA - Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting earlier this month.

What we know:

The incident reportedly occurred on Dec. 1, 2024, at approximately 11:20 a.m. at 1799 Shirley St. SW. A suspect captured in a photograph is believed to be connected to the shooting.

According to Atlanta Police, a 20-year-old male was killed during the shooting. They have not revealed a possible motive for the shooting.

Police are encouraging anyone with information about the suspect or the case to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line by calling 404-577-TIPS (8477), visiting the website StopCrimeAtl.org, or texting CSGA along with the tip to CRIMES (738477).

Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest or indictment may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. Police emphasize that those submitting tips are not required to provide their name or any identifying information to qualify for the reward.
