SUV rams into Buckhead Post Office
A Buckhead Post Office had to close early Monday afternoon because an SUV slammed into the front of it. Atlanta police say a Range Rover crashed into The Pharr Road Post.
ATLANTA - A Buckhead post office was abruptly closed on Monday afternoon after a vehicle slammed into its front.
The incident occurred at around 3:20 p.m. at the U.S. Post Office located along Pharr Road.
What we know:
According to the Atlanta Police Department, the driver of a Ranger Rover remained at the scene after the collision.
FOX 5 cameras at the scene captured the SUV having gone through the front glass façade.
Authorities say the woman driving the SUV and a woman inside the building received minor injuries. The bystander was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver was cited at the scene.
What we don't know:
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
While the post office was closed immediately following the crash, it was unclear whether it would reopen on Tuesday.
