Victim of southwest Atlanta shooting dies
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Atlanta Police said the woman who was shot in southwest Atlanta on Wednesday has died. Meanwhile, officers are continuing the search for the gunman responsible.
It happened at an emissions business along Campbellton Road near Myrtle Drive Wednesday. Atlanta Police said a 40-year-old woman was shot in the back around 12:15 p.m.
Witnesses told police the victim and a man were arguing in front of the business when the argument turned violent and a shot was fired. The woman was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital where she later died.
Police said the suspect crashed into another car as he fled the scene. Police searched with K-9's and by helicopter, but could not find either driver.
