OXFORD, Ala. (AP) — Victoria's Secret has fired an Alabama employee after a customer went viral in a Facebook Live video in which she said she was racially profiled.
WBRC-TV reports traveling nurse Kimberly Houzah says she and another black woman were asked to leave the store at Oxford's Quintard Mall Wednesday.
Houzah says the store manager's request came after another African-American woman, whom Houzah said she didn't know, was accused of shoplifting.
Houzah says she feels the manager discriminated against her because of race. She says no one else was told to leave after the alleged incident.
Houzah and a group of protesters returned Thursday, seeking an apology and calling for the manager's job.
The manager on duty did apologize and told the group the other manager had been fired.
