VIDEO: Lightning Strike Off Orange Beach

ORANAGE BEACH, Ala. - An awesome sight caught on camera on Orange Beach Wednesday morning as powerful bolts of lightning clash down into the water just off the coast.

The video was posted to Instagram by Haley McAllister who was there on a youth retreat with Mount Joy Baptist Church. Haley said the fury of lightning was part of her "experiencing God’s Grace".

"Yes we are all fine. We have enjoyed watching God's Almighty power this morning," Haley posted.

Haley admitted the sudden strike was a bit scary and she wasn't alone.

"Wow @haley_mac16 I think I would have dropped my phone #imascaredycat," one woman replied to the post.

The storm that Haley caught in Alabama was part of the same system that dumped about an inch of rain portions of Georgia on Wednesday.
