Warrants for man believed to be connected to Rockdale County woman's death

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office secured warrants for a man suspected in the death of a woman who was found dead inside her home.

Loretta Goolsby, 58, was had been missing since April 6 when her landlord attempted to contact her about the late rent, which he noted was highly unusual. Her body was found by a neighbor last Friday at her Lester Road home.

Detectives determined the death was suspicious and ruled it a homicide.

Alfred Jermain Arnold faces charges of murder, arson, aggravated assault, and theft by taking.

Officials said Arnold is already in jail in Valdosta for a probation violation.

Investigators have not released a motive.
