A Boulder Creek man captured the moment when a mountain lion attacked what appears to be a raccoon at 2:40 a.m. Thursday.

Michael Fradin captured the video from his bathroom window at his Boulder Creek home, which is located six miles north of Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Fradin tells KTVU, "I see them all the time. But I live in a very rural area, and with the lack of water it is forcing the game to go closer to the river. My house is right between Castle Rock and Big Basin State Park."

He estimates the mountain lion in the video has a five foot body and is eight to nine feet, nose to tail.

This is the fifth time he has attempted to capture a mountain lion on video.
