Wendy's helping families and Frosty lovers
LOS ANGELES - The fast-food chain, Wendy’s, has a promotion where if you donate just $2 to the Dave Thomas Foundation, you get a free frosty with every purchase you make in 2017.
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption was founded by Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy’s, in 1992. It all started in 1990 when President George H. W. Bush asked Dave Thomas to be the spokesperson for a National Adoption Awareness Program. According to their website, Dave “spearheaded a national public service campaign and encouraged other business leaders to offer adoption benefits as part of their employee benefit plans.” Dave wanted to do even more than that, so two years later, he created his foundation.
The Dave Thomas Foundation is America’s only national non-profit charity dedicated solely to finding permanent homes for the more than 100,000 children in foster care.
To help children find forever homes, just go into any Wendy’s and buy the Dave Thomas Foundation key tag for $2. That key tag will be your coupon for free Frostys every day in 2017.
