Westin Hotel in downtown Atlanta evacuated due to fire

The Westin in downtown Atlanta was evacuated Thursday morning after a fire broke out inside the hotel.

Fire officials said a blaze started in the laundry room of The Westin Peachtree Plaza and was contained to one room. The fire has since been put out. 

Officials said two employees suffered smoke inhalation, and one of them has been taken to the hospital. 

As a precaution, the entire hotel was evacuated. SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene around 10:30 a.m.

The Westin Peachtree Plaza is located at 210 Peachtree Street. Baker Street and Ted Turner Drive are both shut down while firefighters remain on scene, working to remove smoke from the building.
