Atlanta police search for killer who gunned down three men in parking lot
Police confirmed the triple homicide pushed Atlanta's murder count to 103 this year after shots rang out near the intersection of Whitehall Street and McDaniel Street.
ATLANTA - Three people are dead following an overnight triple shooting in Atlanta.
Police said it happened on Whitehall Street in a parking lot near the intersection of McDaniel Road.
All three men were found dead with gunshot wounds when officers arrived. One man was in a wheelchair, police said.
Police began investigating at around 12:48 a.m. and were still on scene at about 5:30 a.m.
"Right now, the victims are described as three black males between the ages of 35 and 45 years of age," Atlanta Police Department Lt. Daniel Genson said.
According to police, the incident happened in the parking lot of Kiss Ultra Lounge.
"None of the incident happened inside it was all In the outside parking area," Genson said.
There are cameras in the area but police wouldn’t comment if they captured the shooting.
"We aren’t going to put that out right now. We don’t want to show our hands to show what investigative resources we are using," Genson said.
The shootings mark 103 homicides in the city of Atlanta so far this year.
Police have not released any information on the suspect, but say they are seeking the public's assistance as they continue to investigate.
"If anyone has any information on this homicide or any other homicide call crime stoppers. You can remain anonymous and still qualify for a cash reward," Genson said.
Police have not released information about potential suspects.
Details on what led up to the shooting were not immediately made available.
