Investigators are trying to find the two men last seen with Bridget Shiel, just hours before her gruesome murder. Police held a briefing on Wednesday to once again plead for the public's help and address what they are calling "speculation" in the case.

The body of the 19-year-old was found naked in an Atlanta park on May 31. Investigators believe Shiel was gunned down inside Oakland City Park in the middle of the night, just hours before her body was found. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots just after 1 a.m. that morning.

Another witness also came forward saying they saw Shiel at a DeKalb County gas station. Investigators said they put Shiel at the corner of Memorial Drive and Rockbridge Road around 11:30 p.m. May 30 thanks to surveillance video from the convenience store. Witness report she was sitting in the passenger seat of her own car with two men. She appeared to be in distress.

Investigators are also shooting down what police call speculation about the motive for her murder.

“There is no, no evidence to suggest that this victim was linked to some huge sex trafficking ring in Atlanta or anywhere else,” Atlanta Police Detective Vincent Velazquez said during Wednesday’s press conference in response to a recent report. “There's no evidence to suggest that her tattoos had anything to with what happened to this victim.”

A large reward remains in place for any information leading to an arrest in this homicide investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Atlanta Police or Atlanta Crime Stoppers.
