Who murdered Michael Robinson?
ATLANTA - Atlanta Police are out in full force Wednesday in the Oakcliff neighborhood actively searching for any leads to the murder of an amateur boxer and father of three.
Police spent the afternoon canvassing the neighborhood around Harwell Road where Michael Robinson was found shot to death on January 23. Investigators said surveillance video from a nearby gas station and the apartment complex show five individuals just moments before the 30-year-old Robinson was robbed and shot. Police are seeking any tip that might identify them. Lt. Charles Hampton with the Atlanta Police Department said investigators believe the five individuals were involved in some way in the murder of Robinson. But only one person pulled the trigger.
"We are asking individuals who may not have pulled the trigger, now would be the time to come forward to give your side of the story," said Hampton.

"He was the best friend anybody would want to have. He was a God fearing man. Anybody would want to know," said Kathy Terley, Robinson's mother.
Deshone Williams said Robinson had recently turned pro as a boxer with a three and one record. He said Robinson had the ring name of “Speedy Ray Robinson". Williams said Robinson had a mean right hand punch. He believes Robinson wouldn't have gone down without a fight.
"He probably rocked a couple of those guys and because they couldn't handle him physically they went and pulled out the weapon," said Williams.
Anyone with further information about the murder is asked to call the Atlanta Police Department of Crime Stoppers
