CALHOUN, Ga. - Calhoun Fire and Gordon County Fire successfully contained the wildfire that blazed through Calhoun from 1:15 Sunday afternoon to 6 p.m. Sunday evening.
The wildfire was located off of Lovers Lane, East of Interstate 75.
People living in Calhoun evacuated the area voluntarily as the windy conditions made the wildfire difficult to contain. Although many homes were in close contact to the flames, no homes were damaged and no one was hurt.
Crews are investigating what stared the fire. The fire burned about 100 acres.
