ATLANTA - Public transit services across metro Atlanta are adjusting operations in response to the forecasted severe winter storm expected to impact the region starting Friday.

MARTA implements inclement weather service plan
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) announced an inclement weather service plan to prioritize the safety of customers and employees while maintaining service to the extent feasible. The plan goes into effect Friday morning as freezing temperatures and potential precipitation are expected to create hazardous travel conditions.

MARTA will work closely with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and local public works departments responsible for road safety and snow/ice removal.
Key service adjustments include:
- Rail Service: All rail lines (Red, Gold, Blue, and Green) will operate on a 20-minute schedule during regular service hours. Red Line: North Springs Station to Airport Station.Gold Line: Doraville Station to Airport Station.Green Line: Bankhead Station to Vine City Station only.Blue Line: H.E. Holmes Station to Indian Creek Station.
- Red Line: North Springs Station to Airport Station.
- Gold Line: Doraville Station to Airport Station.
- Green Line: Bankhead Station to Vine City Station only.
- Blue Line: H.E. Holmes Station to Indian Creek Station.
- Bus & Mobility Services: Fixed-route buses will operate on a modified schedule similar to Saturday service levels, prioritizing routes to rail stations, major medical facilities, and high-ridership areas. MARTA Mobility service will operate within three-quarters of a mile of active fixed routes and rail stations.
- Streetcar Service: Streetcar operations will be suspended until deemed safe.
- Customer Support: MARTA call centers will remain open for regular operations, while the Reduced Fare and Lost and Found offices will be closed.

CobbLinc suspends all services through Saturday

CobbLinc will suspend all bus, paratransit, and microtransit services on Friday and Saturday due to a winter storm warning and hazardous travel conditions. Services are expected to resume Sunday, or as soon as conditions improve.
Cobb County Department of Transportation (DOT) crews will begin pretreating roadways Thursday evening with a brine mixture, transitioning to a sand-and-salt mixture once precipitation begins. A 135-member maintenance team will work 12-hour shifts starting early Friday.
Additionally, Cobb County Government facilities, including courts, will close at 5 a.m. Friday and remain closed through Saturday. Magistrate Court’s warrant division will operate as scheduled.

Ride Gwinnett Modifies Operations
Ride Gwinnett will halt all commuter, local, microtransit, and paratransit services on Friday. Limited services will resume on Saturday as follows:
- Paratransit Service: Dialysis patient trips starting at 10 a.m.
- Local Bus Service: Operations begin at 10 a.m.
- Microtransit Service: Suspended.
