Woman shot in leg in southeast Atlanta

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A woman is recovering in the hospital after being shot early Sunday morning in southwest Atlanta.

The Atlanta Police Department said the shooting happened at Ebony's Beautiful Makeover on Windsor Street.

Officers say the woman was shot in the leg.

Investigators found a number of shell casings at the scene.

Medics took the woman to a local hospital. She is now in stable condition.

Officers have not released a description of a suspect or any possible motive in the shooting.
