The Rams drafted Gurley No. 10 overall in 2015. Since then, the 25-year-old has been named to the Pro Bowl three times, All-Pro twice, 2015 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year and 2017 AP Offensive Player of the Year. Gurley has been one of the best running backs since he entered the league in 2015, amassing 7,494 total yards and 70 touchdowns in five NFL seasons, most in the league during that period.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gurley will still be one of the NFL's three highest-paid backs. After being released by the Rams on Thursday, he is due to make $11 million in total earnings this year.
