Braves closer Arodys Vizcaíno undergoes surgery, will miss rest of season
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - One of the Atlanta Braves closers is expected to miss the rest of the 2019 season after undergoing surgery.
Right-handed pitcher Arodys Vizcaíno underwent right shoulder surgery Wednesday in New York to remove scar tissue from the join.
The 28-year-old was placed on the 10-day injured list on April 14, retroactive to April 11, with right shoulder inflammation.
Vizcaíno appeared in four games this season, allowing one run, earned, in four innings.
