ATLANTA - Atlanta Braves fans were fired up inside Truist Park Tuesday night.
"Go Braves," some Braves fans said ahead of the team’s first postseason workout.
"Super excited just to have the opportunity to come out, see the guys and cheer them on and just be a part of the pre playoff experience," said Michael Swift.
"We’re big Braves fans and have to support them regardless of if it’s a real game or not," said Ben Dunson. "We’re excited for the postseason."
Fans are counting down the minutes until Saturday. Alissa Condra is one of the thousands who will get to see it in person.
"I always like watching these games, which tend to be close, tend to be really exciting, especially with the Braves being able to rally in late innings," she said.
The Atlanta Braves say Truist Park is sold out for the postseason and they are expecting roughly 42,000 fans for each game with another 10,000 to 20,000 out in The Battery.
"Our fans are the best in sports," said Hannah Basinger, the Atlanta Braves Senior VP of Operations. "Honestly, they create such an amazing environment when they’re here and it’s so loud, it’s so exciting."

To get ready for all the fans, preparations are underway. The Braves organization says they are adding new merchandise, doing more game day activities and offering new food options like a giant meatball plate and brisket sandwich.
The goal is to give fans everything they want while the team works to get a win on the field.
"This never gets old, we don’t become complacent," said Derek Schiller, the Braves President and CEO. "In fact, the expectations that we have on ourselves is to perform even better and even more each and every year."
No matter what, fans are backing the Braves.
"It’s going to be another World Series year," said Melinda Hollandworth. "We’re sure of it."
Before the NLDS, the team is holding several workouts open to the public at Truist Park.
