ATHENS, Ga. - The countdown is on and excitement is building for Saturday's meeting in Jacksonville between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators.
For some this game is a reason for a big party, for the UGA players this is a big test in their goal for a championship.
The last time the Dawgs won it all was 1980.
FOX 5 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist David Chandley had a sideline seat for that run. He sat down with former Head Coach Vince Dooley who said Saturday’s game reminded him a lot of the 1980 meeting with the Gators.
Check out the video above to see what Dooley has to say about then and now
The game kicks off 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in Jacksonville.
