ATLANTA - When it comes to the Georgia Bulldogs there are fans and then there are super fans who truly love the Bulldogs no matter what.
One of the biggest UGA fans anywhere is FOX 5 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist David Chandley, who Friday got to sit down with legendary Coach Vince Dooley.
Dooley was the last coach to lead Georgia to a National Championship.

Dooley led the Dawgs to their highest mountain back in 1980, FOX 5 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist David Chandley was along for the ride as a student trainer. Dooley recalled that senior leadership propelled that team, same for these current Dawgs.
Dooley: “Things have just fallen into place, and maybe as we said back in 1980, one more time, and here we are, one more time.”
Chandley: “You mentioned earlier the four guys that came back, Bellemy, Carter, Sony, and Nick Chubb coming back and what an impact that had at the beginning of the season.”
Dooley: “Sure it did, I mean that set a tremendous tone to the rest of the team and how important it is for these kids to give up a lot of money at an early age which very few of them do to come back.”

Coach Dooley was there at the Rose Bowl last week and the miracle finish took him back in time.
Dooley: “What comes to my mind is 37 years ago in New Orleans and you were there as part of it that we were getting ready to play Notre Dame for the National Championship and here 37 years later we have that opportunity again.”

The 2017 season has plenty of parallels to the 80 season, a powerful running game, a stout defense and an excellent kicking game, and a familiar team motto. One more time.
Dooley: “And it’s really the same situation, somehow someway one more time as we saw out in the Rose Bowl, somehow we won that football game and we have to do it one more time.”
Dooley will be watching with the rest of the Bulldogs Nation Monday at 8 p.m. as Georgia plays Alabama at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
