Falcons hold blood drive

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The Atlanta Falcons teamed up with the American Red Cross to help hospital patients in need.

The organizations held a blood drive Wednesday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Organizers say the blood drive comes during the summer months which is a time when many regular donors postpone giving blood due to vacation plans.

Each donor received a pair of pre-season game tickets.
