Those UGA fans not lucky enough to have Santa Claus bring Rose Bowl tickets under their tree Christmas morning are resorting to trying to buy them out of pocket.

Georgia had just over 10,000 tickets to offer season ticket holders, everyone else is having to get their tickets directly from the Rose Bowl or secondary ticket markets.

Some of those tickets are hovering around $400, according to StubHub as of Tuesday evening.

Add at least $1,000 for roundtrip airfare and one can see how dedicated fans of the Red and Black are.

As FOX 5’s team of reporters and photographers were heading out to Pasadena on Tuesday, they met up with several other fans at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport who were making the trip to LAX.

UGA is hoping there will be a sea of red at the Rose Bowl.

Bottom line, Dawg fans everywhere are getting jacked up for the biggest football game in a long, long time!

The No. 3 Bulldogs will be playing No. 2 Oklahoma on New Year’s Day at 5 p.m. The battle will decide who gets to play in the College Football Playoff National Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Of course, the winner of the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans will make up the other half of that championship matchup. No. 4 Alabama and No. 1 Clemson will be hashing it out at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. That game happens at 8:45 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
