GHSA postpones high school football championship games
ATLANTA - The Georgia High School Association has announced that the final two state championship games to be played Friday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the first game scheduled for Saturday has been postponed.
According to a statement by the GHSA the games will be made up next week away from Mercedes-Benz Stadium with details to be released later.
Rome was scheduled to play Warner Robins in the 5A title game and Lee County was scheduled to play Coffee in the 6A title game Friday night. Clinch County was scheduled to play Irwin County Saturday morning.
The GHSA has not announced changes to the remaining three games scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
