Little Bowdon votes big, wins Team of the Week

Bowdon - The Bowdon Red Devils beat cross-town rival Bremen to win the Sewell Trophy and start the season 2-0. Following the big win, The Red Devils made an appearance on the High 5 Sports Team of the Week poll and their supporters showed up big, casting nearly 10,000 votes to secure the squads first Team of the Week award,

The number of votes was significant considering the entire town of Bowdon, located near the Alabama border, has a population of around 2,000 people.

For their hard work, Bowdon's faculty and student body will receive a live pep rally hosted by Good Day Atlanta anchor, Buck Lanford beginning in the 7 O'clock hour of Thursday's show. Buck will also award the team with the High 5 Hand Trophy in celebration of their hot start to the 2019 season.
