Sorry Braves, but we don't have to wait until October, because we have a baseball team in the World Series right now!
Peachtree City beat Michigan 4-3 today to stay alive – and advance – in the Little League World Series.
Michigan tied the game in the 2nd inning to make things interesting and tense.
But in the bottom half of the inning, Peachtree City, which is representing Georgia, the Southeast region, and hopefully the entire United States soon, picked up a couple of runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the lead.
Again Michigan got within a run in the 3rd, but pitcher Jansen Kenty made sure they got no closer – striking out nine batters over six innings and closing out the win.
Peachtree City will play the loser of tonight's game between Staten Island and Honolulu tomorrow.
They'll have to keep winning, but when it comes to this group, playing is just plain old fun.
"This group is amazing," shortstop Tai Peete said. "The fact that we can make it all the way here, through district, state and regionals, it means a lot.
