Roddy White talks Falcons split

Visiting his alma mater, the University of Alabama-Birmingham, Roddy White faced the media for the first time since he was released by the Falcons on Wednesday. White talked about the Blazers spring practice, but also talked about being released.

"It's a little tough. It's always tough when you spend your whole career some place and then you have to find a new home. That was a tough situation, but I have moved on and I'm enjoying my time at UAB today and then next week I'll start my journey and get ready to play for another team," said White.

After White's release, Falcons coach Dan Quinn speculated that White could be heading down to Tampa to play for former Falcons Offensive Coordinator and now Bucs coach Dirk Koetter. White said Saturday that he hasn't made his mind up yet.

"Me and my agent have been talking to a lot of people, but it's such a long process from this point on," White added that wherever he lands, his mission is simple.

"I want to win. I've played eleven years, this will be my twelfth coming up and I want to play for a team that's going to win a Super Bowl."

White was rarely shy with the Atlanta media and had his same light-spirited personality on display when asked about retirement.

"Man, I could play forever man, what are you talking about?" White joked. "To tell you the truth, I don't like putting numbers on things. A long time ago I said I was going to play eight years in the NFL, then I got to ten and I knew I wasn't going to go past ten. Now this will be twelve if I get on with another team. You never tell somebody that you don't want to play, because then you might not get a job."
