Team of the Week pep rally at Pickens High School
Congrats to the Pickens High School Dragons - our High 5 Sports Team of the Week!
The undefeated Dragons (6-0) are on the verge of a special season. Their first goal is to win the top seed in Region 6-AAAA in order put themselves in position to win the first-ever playoff game in school history. Pickens qualified for the playoffs each of the last four years, but their lower seeding forced them to play perennial powerhouses Stephens County, Marist, Jefferson and Cartersville on those occasions which led to first-round exits.

Pickens hopes to win the region in order to ensure the most favorable playoff matchup, which at this point would be either Region 7-AAAA's undefeated Flowery Branch, defending 4-A state champion Blessed Trinity, or 2017 4-A runner-up, Marist. Pick your poison. That historic first playoff win might not come easy.
Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken helped the Dragons celebrate being named Team of the Week with a special pep rally in Jasper Thursday morning. At the pep rally, the team was presented with the coveted High 5 Sports Hand Trophy.
