UGA football fans hope for playoff berth

ATHENS, Ga. - Football frenzy is in full force in Athens.

"There's something about this team, this year, Kirby, the fans," local store owner Laura Beaghan said. "There's something there."

After a dominating win against Florida this weekend, Georgia Bulldogs’ fans are pumped about their 8-0 record

"We are taking it one week at a time," Beaghan said.

Beaghan owns a local store with Georgia apparel and decor.

"It's been in my family since the 1970s," Beaghan said. "We were raised to be Georgia fans.

Georgia hosts South Carolina Saturday. A win over the Gamecocks puts the Bulldogs one step closer to the SEC Championship and the national title.
