Young's long 3 lifts Hawks to 119-117 win over Celtics

Trae Young had 38 points and drained a long go-ahead 3-pointer from beyond the top of the key with 2.8 seconds left to help the Atlanta Hawks cap a late comeback and beat the Boston Celtics 119-117 Tuesday night. 

Giakoumakis, late own goal help Atlanta beat Fire 2-1

Giorgos Giakoumakis became just the second player in MLS history to score in each of his first five starts and Atlanta United used an own goal in the ninth minute of stoppage time to beat the Chicago Fire 2-1 Sunday. 

Astros top Braves 5-2

Yordan Alvarez tied the game with a two-run single in the eighth inning, Corey Julks had a go-ahead pinch-hit single in the ninth, and the Houston Astros won their fourth straight, 5-2 over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday.

Hawks hope Trae Young gets going in Game 3 vs. Celtics

Beyond the arc, the Hawks shot just 17 percent in Game 1 and 33 percent in Game 2. In both those games combined, Trae Young has shot 3/13 from 3 (23%) and just 35 percent from the field, along with 10 turnovers. But the Hawks say they think they can turn their shooting woes around in Game 3, back at home.
