South Carolina senators add firing squad as alternative execution method

South Carolina senators added a firing squad to the electric chair as alternatives if the state can't execute inmates by way of lethal injection. The state can't put anyone to death now because its supply of lethal injection drugs expired and it has not been able to buy any more.

Elderly veteran kills home intruder who attacked his wife

After an armed man forced his way into their home and began attacking his wife with a knife, the elderly Vietnam veteran grabbed a shotgun off the wall and beat the suspect multiple times in the face with the handle of the gun until he was unconscious. The intruder later died.

SC man pleads guilty in plot to attack White House, Trump Tower

Federal authorities say a South Carolina man has pleaded guilty to a terror charge for plotting to bomb or shoot up sites including the White House and Trump Tower in New York City in attacks inspired by the Islamic State group.
