A cold front fueled with tropical moisture will pass through north Georgia Saturday. This will result in occasional rain and afternoon thundershowers. When and where it isn't raining, skies will be mostly cloudy.

The risk of severe storms this afternoon is for areas close to the South Carolina state line. Damaging winds would be the threat with these storms. While most of our area should not see severe storms, keep in mind that with saturated soils, trees can come down from wind gusts even from non-severe thunderstorms.

The last of the showers/storms will press to our south this evening. This will set the stage for clearing skies and very low humidity for Sunday and for much of next week.
