Cobb County fire responded to a home on Pleasant Drive in Mableton shortly after 8 Tuesday morning. Firefighters say when they arrived there were 3 vehicles on fire, flames were traveling through the attic, and a short time later there was an explosion in the basement that knocked out part of the foundation. The homeowners, Willie Taylor, a former Deputy Chief with the Atlanta Police Department, and his wife had lived in the home for nearly 50 years.
