Atlanta Hawks' Kent Bazemore talks Hawks, A Day of Giving, and 'The Basketball Tournament'
ATLANTA - Starting July 26, Georgia State will host a 16 team, winner-take-all basketball tournament. The winning team takes home a $2 million dollar prize. Atlanta Hawks' Forward Kent Bazemore will serve as the honorary host for the Super 16 round. He stopped by Good Day Atlanta to talk about what fans who plan to attend can expect.
The hoops action will also team up with a "Day of Giving" at Atlanta's Anderson Park.
"A Day of Giving today at Anderson Park where we're kind of refurbishing the gym, new baskets, new court, bleachers, the whole nine. It's awesome to make that kind of impact in the community you know, give the kids an outlet to express themselves," Bazemore said during a sit-down interview with Good Day's Alyse Eady.

Bazemore also talked about how excited he is about the future of the Atlanta Hawks, including his new teammate, first round draft pick Trae Young.
Bazemore is also a big time UNO player, and played the card game with teammates on the Hawks plane. Now, he is teaming up with some celebrity friends to bring an UNO tournament to the Atlanta community. The winner earns bragging rights and takes home a championship belt. The tournament is set for August 11 at the Westside Culture Arts Center.
The Basketball Tournament will be held July 26-July 29 at Georgia State University's Sports Arena located at 125 Decatur Street.
"The City of Atlanta has been extremely supportive of TBT,” Jon Mugar, TBT Founder and CEO said in a news release. "We are excited to deliver twelve of the highest level, intense and compelling basketball games in the world this summer to Georgia State starting July 26, more importantly, we are happy to invest back into the local community. Having an updated sports facility for children to enjoy and be safe is paramount."
