Burgers with Buck: Eleventh Street Pub in Midtown
The Eleventh Street Pub in Midtown is already a popular spot for watching soccer. With the Atlanta United thriving just down the street and the World Cup happening on the other side of the world, soccer fans tend to gather there to enjoy each other’s company, hoist a beverage, and now eat a burger rebranded to represent the game the rest of the world calls futbol.
Each month, owner Michael Taylor and his staff feature a signature burger. The June All-American Burger which features two ¼ pound charbroiled patties, Monterey Jack and American cheese, and topped with a healthy portion of onions sautéed in balsamic and brown sugar was originally scheduled to run through the month of June. If that burger sounds delicious to you…I have some good news.
Perhaps partly because of the popularity of the burger, and partly because the one thing missing from the 2018 World Cup (the American team), the June All –American Burger has been rebranded as the World Cup Burger, and extended throughout the entirety of the World Cup. (Heads up…I’m told it will also be featured and available during the Women’s World Cup.)
The burger is delicious and what stands out to me is the hint of sweetness in the onions due to the brown sugar. It will cost you $12.95 and that includes a side. I had the tater tots, and am glad I did.
