Update: 17-year-old killed at apartment complex on Mt. Zion Road on Sunday identified

ATLANTA - Atlanta police are investigating a deadly shooting of a teen that took place near a southwest Atlanta apartment complex on Sunday afternoon.

Police confirmed a 17-year-old, who was identified on Monday as Kendarius Davis, was found shot to death at 183 Mount Zion Road SE, which is listed online as the address for East Ridge Park Apartments.

Police have not named a possible suspect or said what led to the shooting.

FOX 5 Atlanta cameras were rolling at the scene when a series of fights broke out after the shooting. It appeared that one man was upset that another was filming across the street. Two women also began arguing.

The responding police broke up the altercations by threatening to make arrests.

A large crowd remained outside the gate of the apartment complex for hours.
